WHAT
FESTLI is a dining chair designed to enhance social interaction and bring better comfort during dinners. With a swiveling seat and tiltable backrest, this innovative design ensures that every guest can actively participate in conversations, regardless of the size of the party. The chair is constructed with easily removable upholstery and replaceable parts, ensuring product longevity. By utilizing recycled steel and locally sourced Norwegian
wool, FESTLI embodies true Scandinavian values and promotes sustainability.

HOW
Featuring ergonomic principles, a swiveling seat and tiltable backrest, enabling guests to move freely and engage effortlessly in conversation. The seat swivels alone, allowing you to face the speaking guest without fully turning away from others. Meanwhile, the backrest is designed to tilt backwards and naturally move with your body as you engage in conversation. This dual-functionality ensures optimal comfort and freedom of movement, enabling seamless interaction and fostering meaningful connections. Prepare to experience comfort, conversation, and connection with this thoughtfully designed dining chair.

WHY
Having social relationships and connecting with your peers is a biological human need, playing a vital role in maintaining a healthy and long life. As our research showed the significance of communal meals, particularly dinner, for forming and reinforcing friendships and family relations, our focus naturally directed towards the social dynamics surrounding the dinner table. Through our analysis, we discovered that the shape of the table significantly influences the quality of communication among guests, with round tables facilitating more effortless interaction with peers compared to rectangular ones. Motivated by these findings, we set out to bridge the communication and connection gap experienced between round and rectangular tables.
